Wonderful holiday location, in the middle of the Chianti hills, in a hamlet reached by a strada biancha. Very beautiful views from the pool. Quiet area. The house is comfortable and well equipped. No issues at all at the booking or during the stay. Thank you to the VacaVilla team for this unforgettable holiday!

After the loss of our mother, our father wanted to have a 3-generation family vacation in one of his favourite parts of the world. He booked the accommodation for us all, and surprised us with the most wonderful experience. We were a group of 10, and although my immediate family did not stay in the main/large house but in the adjacent, smaller 2 bedroom house, Villa Beba served our group's needs perfectly. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking and family meal needs and the outdoor dining perfect for many a sunset-meal under the big tree. The trees offered well-considered daytime shade for the big house and although there was no air-conditioning in the big house, the cooler evening breezes and fans provided, kept the temperatures bearable. The smaller house had air-conditioning, although we couldn't figure out how to get it working very well, but the open windows provided sufficient night-time cooling and allowed us to enjoy the dawn birdsong and the night fireflies. We visited the area during a very hot period and the pool became the centre of every afternoon's activities. There is shade over the pool in the later afternoon, which provided some sun protection, and allowed us all to enjoy the pool from morning to night. Once we figured out how to manage the ferocious mosquitos, we really spent 90% of our time outside, enjoying the beautiful views and all the local critters of the area. One thing I did not realise until half way through our 10 day stay, was that there was another accommodation directly next door, and although we could at times hear voices, our outdoor space still felt quite private. There is opportunity for the neighbour to overlook the swimming pool, but this did not happen much and we did not feel this was too invasive.Beds in the small house were rudimentary but comfortable. Bathrooms were adequate for all our needs. The house is not really near any shops, however the nearest town (beautiful Castellina in Chianti) is a short drive from the house and has a decent grocery store and some delis. The one complaint we would have is regarding managing garbage. Being 10 people for 10 days, we naturally accumulated garbage, and the facility to and instructions for separating the garbage into greenwaste, recycling, glass, paper/packaging and regular garbage were absent. The area garbage bins at the top of the gravel road require a keycard to access and no instructions were given on what to do if the cards no longer worked, which is what happened in our case. We were left driving around with garbage in the back of our hot car, trying to find somewhere to deposit it. So to summarize, if the garbage situation could be remedied, our experience at Villa Beba was magical and wonderful and I would wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation to any family or larger groups wanting a perfect home-style escape.
