The price includes: American buffet breakfast, daily room cleaning, automated door service and concierge. Palazzo Mannaioni is the ideal location for weddings and private events such as family reunions, groups of friends, training courses, meetings and company events.
Outdoors and Swimming Pool
Palazzo Mannaioni boasts a large Italian-style garden complete with tables, chairs and umbrellas, where you can spend time in the shade of ancient oak trees and dine while admiring the starry sky, as well as a swimming pool surrounded by a jacuzzi and a bathing area. The swimming pool has a particular shape, is around 12 metres by 8 and 1.47-1.52 metres deep. The bathing area is paved with cotto tiles and has various beach chairs and sun beds for up to 20 persons, with various other areas perfect for relaxing which follow the natural shape of the landscape, some higher than others.
A covered tunnel leads to a second, more modern building whilst retaining a country taste, with 20 bedrooms each with a bathroom en suite and a reading room. Rounding up the property is a large covered garage for up to 28 cars and 2 charging points for electric cars, one for Teslas, one generic.
The ancient palace immerges guests into a noble Tuscan environment. The building is on 3 floors, enclosing a splendid courtyard with a coloured glass ceiling overlooking the bar area. A typical pietra serena stone staircase joins the various floors, along with two large lifts.
Every bedroom is different: some rooms have cotto tiles or a hardwood floor, some boast visible beams on the ceilings, others have fresco ceilings. Upon entering the older building you will find the entrance and greeting area, a lovely conference room with brick arches (the ceiling here is 4.8 metres high) and with modern equipment, the restaurant, which was originally the old olive-press room and boasts an arched ceiling and a spectacular line of brick arches. Last but not least there is the unique “Tunnel of Love Cellar”: legend has it that one of the first owners built it in order to meet secretly with his lover. The area has been converted into a splendid wine cellar and dining/tasting area, hosting some of Tuscany’s and Italy’s most prized wines.
The new building, completed in 2010 and linked to the garden via a covered tunnel (see above), has 20 bedrooms on two floors, which are linked by a staircase and a lift. This building also has direct outdoor access, giving it an independent access point than the ancient palace. The bedrooms have a modern country style, with lightly coloured wood furniture, as well as materials and decorations inspired by the woods and nature; they also offer large en suite bathrooms, in white ceramic, with a bathtub or shower. Some even have a small terrace with tables and chairs, perfect for relaxing in the fresh air.
To summarise, 27 bedrooms are in the ancient palace, with different sizes and characteristics, some with a private terrace overlooking the medieval walls, all from the first floor up. The other 20 rooms are in the modern part of the property, some larger than others, some with a small private terrace and all on two floors. All bedrooms have satellite TV, air conditioning controlled separately from each room, a safe, a mini-bar and hairdryer. Every bedroom also has its own en suite bathroom with bathtub or shower. Some rooms have space for an extra bed, for up to 8 extra guests.

Activities and Distances
San Gimignano and Volterra are a few minutes drive away, as are San Miniato and Castelfalfi, where you will find a top notch 27 hole golf course, with special prices for Palazzo Mannaioni guests. Florence, Siena and Pisa are not far and an hour's drive will get you to the best destinations on the Tuscan coast, like Forte dei Marmi in Versilia and the Etruscan coastline. Horse riding facilities, mountain bike hires and hiking paths are all nearby, making it easy to explore the surrounding countryside. We suggest visiting the “Tuscan Jerusalem” or the Sacro Monte di San Vivaldo surrounded by the Boscolazzeroni woods, where you can find a miniature version of the Holy Land: to date, there are 20 small chapels in the woods. Of course, no visit to Tuscany would be complete without visiting Vinci and the museum dedicated to Leonardo.
